About us

The holders of the kennel is Vibeke Aase Jensen and Helena Hopland. We live in Risnes, about 30 minutes from the city center. Here we share a big house. After living in the town center for many years, it feels very nice to stay in the country, and have plenty of room for all dogs. We currently have 7 dogs living at home. We also have a Shiba, who currently lives with Mathias and sister Nikko in downtown Bergen. All our dogs live with us as family members.

Vibeke is working as a librarian at the Norwegian Business School, and have always had great interest in dogs. Breed Tibetan Spaniel, she was aware when her sister got the tibbie Ruffus in 1990.

Helena is also working on the Norwegian Business School as a secretary. She has always seen herself as a cat person, that the dogs and she did not fit together, but here she was wrong. Today, neither of us can live without these four-legged creatures that make life richer and that simply means that you get more fit and have more zest for life.

The prefix 'Lyngtunet' we had in 2000, and in 2001 we had our first litter. The kennel is named after Vibeke's family country house 'Lyngtun'. This country house was built by Vibeke's grandparents, and Vibeke has many good memories from there.

Stam dogs in our kennel are among others from reputable kennels as Sagaland, Bergrabben and Strömkarlen. They are based mainly on old Swedish and Finnish lines. Our goal as breeders is to breed healthy and  typical dogs with good temperament. We carry not a big farming - have 1-2 litters a year - but think it is enough. For us it is important to follow up on the puppies we have bred.

The kennel has received several honorary prizes in breeding.
